Community Christmas Celebration, Friday 16th December 2022, 7.00-9.00pm
Come along and enjoy cheese, mulled wine and mince pies. Everyone very welcome

Table Top Sale, 24th September 2022, 10.00 - 13.00
"one man's trash is another man's treasure"
The end of summer, a good time for a clear-out. Rent a table (small £5 or large £10) and make some money.

National Heritage Open Days
Saturday 10th September, 2022, 10.00 - 16.00
St Stephen’s is taking part in the National Heritage Open Days. The church will be open with our history banners on display and the tower will be open, subject to weather. Refreshments available. We look forward to showing you around

Bring & Share Jubilee Tea, Saturday 4th June 2022, 15.00 - 17.00
Bring and share your sandwiches, savouries or cakes.
Tea and coffee provided; you are welcome to bring your own drinks (wine, beer etc.)
Enjoy a relaxing afternoon, hopefully in the sunshine (indoors in Community Hub if not)
There will be activities for children including a bug hunt
The tower will be open subject to weather (children must be over 8 and accompanied by an adult)

Community Coffee Morning, with Fabric Flowers, 8th April 2022, 10.00 - 12.00
Our regular coffee morning will have the added attraction of a Fabric Flower Class. If you would like to take part there is a charge of £5 that includes all materials,

Phase 2 Churchyard Clear-up, Saturday 5th February 2022, 10.00
Please come and join us.
We have several areas of the churchyard still to be cleared. If you have any amount of time to spare and would like to join our working party, you would be most welcome.
Refreshments provided.

Festive Coffee Morning , Friday 10th December 2021, 10.00 - 12.00
Our usual bi-monthly coffee morning will have a festive flavour on 12th December. This is your opportunity to make a beautiful Christmas table decoration under expert guidance (£5 to cover all the materials please) or just come along and watch the creations take shape.
Meet a friendly group of local people for a chat, a cuppa and a piece of cake in our lovely new community space.
The tower will be open, weather permitting.

Cheese & Wine, Friday 12th November 2021, 7 - 9 pm
The Events' Committee would like to invite local residents to join them in the new community hub in St Stephen's church.
Due to covid restrictions, the previous launch was unfortunately limited to only a few people, so it would be lovely to see everyone for a pre-Christmas get-together on the evening of Friday 12th November, between 7 and 9.
Come along and see the fantastic improvements that have been made and read up on some village history whilst enjoying cheese and biscuits and a complimentary glass of wine.
A chance to catch up with old friends and meet new villagers.

Heritage Open Day, Saturday 11 September 2021, 11am to 4pm
In conjunction with Heritage Open Days across England from 10th-19th September 2021
Explore historic St Stephen’s Church. With free guided tours, exhibition of church and village heritage and creative activities. Refreshments will be served.
The tower will be open, weather permitting.
Free drop in event, suitable for all ages. Small charge for refreshments.

Churchyard Minibeast Hunt, Saturday 14 August 2021, 10am to 3pm
Churchyard minibeast hunt!
St Stephen’s churchyard is buzzing with minibeasts from honeybees, lady birds and beetles, to dragonflies, centipedes and woodlice. Join the bug hunt to see how many you can find and identify. Then make a beautiful dragonfly to take home.
Admission free. Suitable for children age 2 to 11 and their families.

St Stephen's At Night, Thursday 12 August 2021, 7pm to midnight
Wrap up warm and bring a torch to take part in some exciting night-time activities inside and outside St Stephen’s Church, including an after-dark tour, ‘stained glass’ lantern making, bat detecting and astronomy. From 10pm onwards there will be a chance to observe the Perseid meteor shower (if there are clear skies). Marshmallows and hot chocolate will be served.
A free family-friendly event for all ages. Small charge for refreshments.
