Saturday 6th May 2023, the nation gathered around their television sets to watch the Coronation of King Charles III at Westminster Abbey. Not for 70 years had we witnessed such a spectacle of pomp and ceremony.
Such an event demanded a celebration at St Stephen’s Community Hub!
A sumptuous buffet was prepared …
A toast to the King poured …
The Community Hub patriotically decorated, and tables laid.
The Community came together on Sunday 7th May to enjoy a feast and the good company of neighbours. Even King Charles himself put in an appearance … albeit as a cardboard cutout!
